2. KDF (Gold/Black-8 Stage) KDF is known to kill algae and fungi, control bacteria growth, remove chlorine, pesticides, organic matter, rust, unpleasant taste and odour, hydrogen sulphide, iron, lead, nickel, chromium, cadmium, calcium, aluminium, mercury, arsenic and other organic compounds. KDF has a wide spread of effectiveness against a large number of impurities in water. KDF is optimised when used in conjunction with another filter media, especially and form of Activated Carbon (weather in block or granulated form). Other non-metal impurities react with the KDF and form zinc oxides, copper hydroxides, hydroxides and sulphates in the water. These by-products remain within the drinking water, but are not dangerous. Also as part of this reaction Ozone is created and carried through into the drinking water, forming a hostile and desolate environment for algae, bacteria and any other array of micro-organism.

3. Activated carbon (Black Charcoal) removes/reduces contaminants and impurities, utilizing chemical adsorption. Carbon is very effective at removing chlorine, heavy metals and volatile organic compounds from water, and is also used to remove bad taste and odour. Typical Particle sizes that can be removed by carbon filters range from 0.5 to 50 Micrometres (Awesome filter is 5 microns). The efficacy of a carbon filter is also based upon the flow rate regulation. The slower the water is able to flow through the filter, the more contaminants are exposed to the filter.

4. Mineralized Balls (Orange Balls) These balls are “trace” elements that energize your body with combined minerals. Most experts agree that thirteen mineral elements are nutritionally essential. Calcium plays the most obvious role as a structural component of the bone. Sodium, Chloride, and Potassium are minerals that maintain water balance and membrane potentials.

Although not known as well as calcium, magnesium is equally important because it is vital for the proper use of calcium by the body. With these trace elements you can feel energized with great health.

5. Activated Corallite Sand (White Balls) this helps to increase the calcium levels. As is generally known calcium is one element important to living bodies and regarded as essential for your bones, teeth, and blood etc. also increases mineral absorption by your body.

FILTER REPLACEMENT & SERVICE

An average user will require a filter change every 6 months.

Your filter can filter up to 1000 litres of water,  that will come to one filter every 6 months, if you use 5 litres a day.

Even though taste & odour might still seem good,  the carbon becomes saturated after filtering 1000 litres of water and will not remove chemicals & impurities any longer.

We provide a courtesy reminder service to our customers to let you know when it is time to replace your filter.
